Lupeol has the anti- inflammatory, antimicrobial, anti-protozoal, anti-proliferative, anti- invasion, anti-angiogenic and cholesterol lowering properties. Lupeol has also been studied for its therapeutic efficacy in a variety of in vitro and in vivo models, including wound healing, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, kidney disease and arthritis. It has also been shown to be pharmacologically effective in the treatment of a number of diseases in preclinical settings. However, the mechanisms underlying the effect of lupeol on neuroinflammatory signaling molecules has not yet been identified.
